Sunday School

Welcome to Hillcrest Sunday School!  We hope you will join us at 9:45 a.m. for Bible study on Sunday mornings.  Our classes offer a variety of learning settings for all ages.  We offer a welcoming environment to learn about God’s love and how it applies to our everyday life.  Come and join us on our journey as we discover and grow together in the love of Christ.

Kristin Riccio, Director

Infants and Toddlers
Infants and toddlers will receive loving care and individual attention in a safe environment as they learn and explore how God loves them.  They will engage in play with our volunteers.

Preschool (ages 3-4) and K-5 Sunday School
Our preschoolers and elementary aged children use the same curriculum but with lessons and activities specifically written for each age level.  Your child will learn about God through hands-on activities, Bible stories, videos, and music.  The curriculum used by our preschool and K-5 classes is made for today’s busy families.

Children receive a Simply Loved take home flyer and coloring creation page every Sunday.  The flyers take the fun and excitement of that week’s lesson and bring it home.  Created to provide intentional, practical, and easy ways for kids and the rest of the family to discuss that week’s Bible point and apply it to their lives.  Plus, kids receive a super-cool Bible Memory Buddy sticker to wear, keep, or collect.

Our youth class meets each Sunday morning.  Together we seek to learn about the amazing love God has shown to us through His son Jesus.  We also carve out time each week to share our personal ups and downs with each other.  And we always have room for one more at our table – please join us!

Keeping It Real
Just as the class name says, we “keep it real.”  In other words, no subject is off the table for discussion.  We realize and know that life is not always simple but in fact is complicated with diverging opinions and views, even life experiences that have brought us where we are today.  And we share them with each other if we choose.  We try our best to reflect Hillcrest’s vision “a place for all people.”  We in essence understand that scripture intersects with us in our experiences in life and we embrace who we are at the Intersection of Life.  You are welcomed regardless.

A class where you will engage in Bible study with mature Christians, be a part of guided discussions with personal insights and experience relationships that are supportive of each other.
